Football Frenzy Returns, (now based on a new continent!)

Well, after four (and a bit) years of utter silence and misery, I have taken it upon myself to relaunch this dilapidated blog that virtually no one other than your's truly have bothered to acknowledge in it's existence. This will be more of a personal diary of my honest thoughts, opinions and views about the club I so happen to support, Arsenal. I use the term 'support' quite lightly. Like so many of my contemporaries around the world, I bring nothing to the club in terms of tactical help or financial well-being and therefore should hardly expect any 'feel good' reward in return in the form of performances and trophies. My very being on this Earth is not recognised, never mind appreciated by the players who run around the pitch, panting and yearning for the final whistle so that they can collect their oversized paycheques come the end of the week. Yet, like so many football crazed drones, I still follow, watch and criticise them when they under perform, feeling as if my deranged ranting has some form of effect on the swing of the game, jump around like a mad hare when they win (or even score) and swear my head off when they lose (or just concede!).

But all the same, there's no doubting the influence the beautiful game has on all of us, turning even the hardest of men into little girls, crying and sobbing themselves to sleep (I should know, I've done it myself), after a damning defeat. Then again, it can also give us unrivalled joy when we see that same team win a match, never mind a tournament (I'm just getting used to that feeling again, trust me).

I will try to watch every Arsenal game I realistically can. But with my wake up call (life in Nigeria, ay!) some Champions League games will obviously be out of reach.

Anyway, I am running out of things to say so, yeah...

BYE!
